Seeing the Invisible: Vacuum Troubleshooting

Follow one vacuum system in a chemical application through its lifecycle and learn how to identify hidden causes before they affect uptime.

Live

What is the webinar about?

Vacuum problems often become visible only when performance is already affected during startup, commissioning, or long-term operation. The underlying cause, however, is often rooted in factors that are not immediately apparent.

In this webinar, we take a closer look at industrial vacuum pumps and give some best practices advices. As a main example, we will discuss one vacuum system used in a chemical distillation process, consisting of a vacuum booster pump and two dry screw vacuum pumps as backing pumps.

Following this system through different stages of its lifecycle, we explore three typical troubleshooting situations: delayed installation and storage, commissioning when the required vacuum level cannot be reached, and long-term operation where service and reliability become increasingly important.

The webinar provides a practical system-level view on vacuum troubleshooting, including selected insights for other pump technologies such as liquid ring pumps.

Together, we explore how to:

  • Recognize common warning signs

  • Separate symptoms from root causes

  • Apply a structured checklist to solve vacuum problems more efficiently

Who should attend?

For professionals with basic to intermediate knowledge of industrial vacuum systems, including operators, maintenance, process and plant engineers, production and service teams aiming to solve vacuum issues faster and improve lifecycle reliability.
